Why I Wrote Parked Side by Side

Thank you for reading Parked Side by Side. I wrote this story because I love the kind of love that shows up in small ways: a saved spot, a steady hand, a quiet “you good?” when the day has been too loud.

I wanted to write a romance where the biggest moments are not fireworks, but choices, the kind you make when you’re tired, busy, and still trying to be kind. The truth is, most of us are not looking for perfect. We’re looking for steady.

This book holds a few themes close: consent, choice, and community. Consent, because love should never be a guess. Choice, because “I want this” matters just as much as “I’m not ready.” And community, because even the strongest people need a place where they can set something down for a minute and breathe.

If you’re here for comfort, you’re in the right place.

What This Story Believes About Love

Love is patient.

Love asks, not assumes.

Love makes room for “no.”

Love shows up again tomorrow.
